Roger Powers, 46, of Marshall, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Russ Johnson and Rev. Cliff Cato officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born July 6, 1962, in Marshall, he was the son of Walter P. Powers of Marshall and Kay Winfrey Henderson and her husband, Gene, of Marshall. On Oct. 4, 1997, he married Karrie Redford, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall his entire life and was a 1980 graduate of Marshall High School. He had worked at Marshall Habilitation Center the last 21 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshall.

Additional survivors include two sisters, Carolyn Lee of Springfield and Marilyn Baldwin of Marshall, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Michael "Tony" Powers, and one brother, Patrick Ray Powers
