A gloom was thrown over the city Saturday last by the sudden death of Mrs. Wm. Cheney, which came as a surprise to all, she having been sick only two weeks. On the other shore she will meet many relatives, including her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Anderson, and five of her own children. She leaves a husband and six children. Brother Will Cheney has the sympathy of the entire community, having lost his mother, wife a daughter and sister in less than four years. The funeral was held Tuesday, a large crowd in attendance with speakers from this and neighboring cities, and a number of relatives from a distance were present. Sister Agnes Cheney was born 19 years ago, only one half of a block from where she died.
Daughter of Archibald Adamson Anderson & Sarah Jane Rees. Wife of William Wells Cheney.
Died of typhoid fever.
