Marcus was living in San Francisco and had come there for business, Anyway, they got aquainted through letters and married Jan 18, 1913 in Pensacola. They thought they were totally unrelated but their common ancestor is William Covington b. 1720,, so they are distant cousins, Mary's father is my great grandfather, her brother Thomas Bass Covington is my grandfather. Mary and Marcus had twin sons, one died early in life. There have been many twins in my family, I am also a twin. They also had a son that passed away when he was only 19 years old.
