Most researches have always listed her being born in 1787. However, census records from 1850 and 1860 lead to a date in 1795. She was possibly born on 11 June 1795 in Kentucky and not in North Carolina.
According to the 1820 census, Elizabeth Daly is head of household with one male child. In 1830, Elizabeth and her son are apparently counted among the household members of her father Garret G. Harsin. I have located no conclusive records as to the identity of Elizabeth' son, but the fact that James V. M. Dailey is listed among the children / sons in the estate sale of Garret G. Harsin, gives evidence that he was a close relation, possibly a grandson.
