EATONTON: Esther Gertie Aycock, 93, of Shelton Drive, SW, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Monday, March 23, 2009, graveside at Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla. The family will greet friends at the cemetery one hour prior to services on Monday. Ben Galyean will officiate.
Mrs. Aycock was born April 04, 1915, in Irwin County and had lived in Eatonton for the past eight years. She was the daughter of the late Albert Hester and Ella Croker Hester. Mrs. Aycock was a member of Vienna Church of God and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Byron Aycock.
Mrs. Aycock is survived by her daughters: Doris Hawkins of Gray and Eleanor Galyean of Lake Sinclair; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and by three great-great grandchildren.
