Daughter of James Wideman Lee and Emma Eufaula Ledbetter.

Wife of Mortimer P. Burroughs. They married on Nov. 03,1908 in Atlanta, Georgia. From their marriage, two sons were born. One grew up to become the popular writer William S. Burroughs, cult favorite and Beat icon and Mortimer Perry Burroughs, Jr, who is also buried in this cemetery.

She raised her grandson William "Billy" Burroughs, Jr. and is remembered fondly by him. Described as a true lady, Laura was a lovely and devoted mother and wife.

For several years she lived in West Palm Beach, Florida. There she ran an antique shop with her beloved husband. After his death, her health declining, she moved back to Missouri where she spent her last years in a nursing home.
