Mrs. Gahimer Dies at Home
Rites Thursday For Rush County Woman
Mrs. Shirley F. Gahimer, 69, a resident of Posey township in Rush county, died at her home at 12:35 p.m. Monday of a complication of diseases. She had been in ill health for nine months and in a serious condition for three months. She spent her entire life in the Manilla community.
Born January 9, 1888, in Posey township, she was the daughter of William and Melissa Drennen McDaniel. She was united in marriage with Julius Gahimer, who preceded in death in 1939. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Julia McMichael in Rush county; a son, Clyde Ross Gahimer, at home, and a son Clarence L. Gahimer, near Pendleton. Two brothers and a sister preceded in death. There are three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Carmony Funeral Home in Manilla with Rev. E. D. Landis of Arlington officiating. Burial will be in the Little Blue River Wesleyan Church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in Manilla after noon Wednesday.
