After graduating from Hymera High School, he attended Brown Business College at Terse, Indiana. He later moved to Detroit and was employed by Dodge Brothers, Ford Motor Company, Auburn Motors, International Harvester, and Packard Motor Car Company.
Jack moved to Pontiac and began working as a detailer at Pontiac Motor Division in 1939. During his 32 years at Pontiac Motor, he held positions in the Body Drafting Department and retired as Design Group Leader in May 1971.
Jack met Ann Kugler sometime during the mid 1930's and were married on May 27,1939, in Angola, Indiana. They had no children.
Jack died of a heart attack on September 16, 1977. He is buried next to his wife, Ann, at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, (Oakland County) Michigan.
