Ona Kaster Of Arlington Dies Here Today
Mrs. Ona Mae Kaster, 79, of Arlington died at 5:20 a.m. today in the Rowland Nursing Home, where she had been residing since February of 1969, after 12 years of failing health.
She was born in Rush County on August 2, 1891, the daughter of Lewis and Lizzie Moore McMichael and was married in 1911 to Ernest Kaster, who survives.
The Kasters lived for many years on a farm near Fountaintown before moving to Arlington 12 years ago. Mrs. Kaster was a member of the United Brethren Church in Rushville.
Surviving with the husband are two brothers, Elmer McMichael of Carthage and Ora McMichael of Arlington, and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Charles and Willie McMichael, and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Loyd and Miss Ella McMichael, preceded her in death.
The Rev. Charles Chaffee will conduct services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hampton Mortuary in Carthage, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday, with burial in Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
