Beatrice E. Brown-George, 104, of Nazareth, died Thursday, February 26, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Elmer J. Brown Sr., who died in 1951 and the late Samuel George, who died in 1994. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Annie (Baldy) Romig. Beatrice was a floor lady and trimmer for the former Sparrow Sportswear Inc., Nazareth, for 19 years before retiring in 1976. She also waitressed for the former Dutch Oven, Newburg and the former Hanoverville Hotel, Bethlehem, for more than 30 years. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newburg and their quilters group and the E.L.C.W.A. Survivors: She is survived by a daughter, Ethel L., wife of John Coleman Sr. of Bethlehem; son, Elmer J. Brown Jr. of Nazareth; stepson, David George of Danielsville; brother, Harold Romig of Allentown; five grandchildren, Susan, wife of Dennis Krause, of Bethlehem, Joseph G. Coleman of Sophia, N.C., Elizabeth, wife of George DeFeo, of Coatesville, Thomas R. Brown of Loveland, Colo. and Joseph D. and his wife, Trudy Brown, of Nazareth; nine great-grandchildren, Dennis Krause Jr., Barett Krause, Tanya, wife of Kyle Keller, Jason, Jenni, Sarah, Stacey, Andrew and Miranda Brown; two great-great-grandchildren, Marissa and Dylan Krause; stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Mrs. Lucy Roberts, and a grandson, John Coleman Jr., in 1996. Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 323 Nazareth Pike, Bethlehem. Calling hour 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to services in the church. The Rev. Christian Eichorn officiating. Interment will follow services in Bethlehem Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home Inc., 211 E.
