Lois Ella Jaggers Butler 1917 - 2009 Lois Ella Jaggers butler passed away Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. in Glenwood Gardens rest home in Bakersfield. Lois was born in Dardanelle, AK to Tom and Minnie Downs Jaggers in 1917, Lois married Mancel Butler in 1936, they were married in Dardanelle, AK. Lois was preced in death by her parents and 2 sisters and 2 brothers. and her husband. She is survived by her youngest brother, Harold and Betty Kelley Jaggers, and 33 nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind niece, Leslie and Billy Thompson. Lois and Harold moved to Bakersfield, CA in 1946. Lois was a house wife and loved to cook, sew and gardening. Lois and her husband went to Alaska 12 times on vacation. We all remember her for her Sunday dinners and her homemade dinner buns. She is also remmebered by her gardening and her flowers. Goodbye Lois, we will miss you and see you again in paradise. We wish to thank Glennwood Gardens rest home and Hoffman Hospice for their care for her. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest.
