Charles Kreimeyer
July 13, 1922-October 5, 2004

ACKLEY-Charles Eugene Kreimeyer, 82, of Ackley died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Ackley with the Rev. Mary Stonebraker officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Ackley.

Charles was born July 13, 1922, in rural Ackley to Rudolph and Minnie (Hartje) Kreimeyer. He graduated from Ackley High School in 1939 and on Jan. 20, 1945, he was united in marriage to Sylvia Janssen at St. John's UCC. Charles was a retired farmer and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and a charter member of the Ackley Lions Club. He was the Etna Township clerk, a member of church council, men's chorus and involved in many church activities.

Survivors include three daughters, Charleen Richtsmeier and husband Robert of Ackley, Mary O'Brien and husband Michael of Geneva, and Kathy Nolte and husband William of Dumont; a sister Edith Harms and husband Ralph of Ackley; a sister-in-law Valerie Kreimeyer of Urbandale; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and many friends of all ages.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sylvia; a son, Randal; and one step-grandson.

Sietsema Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
