LIBERTY - Frances A. Boynton, 85, of Route 3, died May 9, 2000, at Belfast, after a long illness. Born in Palermo on Nov. 16, 1914, she was the daughter of Charles E. and Nellie M. (Balcom) Hannan. Frances attended grammar school in Palermo and was a 1932 graduate of Walker High School in Liberty. She loved to fish and hunt and excelled in both sports. Frances was a homemaker all of her married life and enjoyed helping her husband, Lyman with outdoor chores.

She was predeceased by a son, Melvin; her husband, Lyman; and her only brother, Phillip Hannan of Palermo.

Surviving are her niece, Brenda Hannan Dyer and husband, David of Palermo; a grandniece, three grandnephews, and several cousins.

By request there are no visiting hours. A graveside committal service will be held at a later date at Hannan Cemetery, Palermo.
