Mrs. Richard Peterson, age 63, died after a lingering illness Wednesday, March 6 at 9:30 a.m. at her home near Downsville. The funeral will be held Saturday at one o'clock from the home and two o'clock at the Louisville church with Rev. Charles Butcher, Eau Claire and Rev. Carl Pederson, Elk Mound in charge of the services. Burial will be made in Riverview Cemetery in Downsville.
Anna Brostrom was born March 1, 1872 at Vennisburg, Sweden. She was married to Ole Backen in 1892. Five children were born to this union. Two sons and Mr. Backen preceded her in death: Alvin died in infancy John on December 5, 1931 and Mr. Backen in 1902.
In 1905 she married to Richard Peterson. Three children were born to them.
Surviving Mrs. Peterson are her husband, three children from her first marriage, Arthur at home, Mrs. Miles Smith of Menomonie and Olaf in Iowa; three children from her second marriage Albert at home and Ernest and George of Waterloo, Iowa; three sisters Mrs. August Peterson, Downsville, Mrs. Charles Fagerlind, Waterloo, Iowa and Mrs. Jerry La Fluer, Anacortes, Washington; one brother, Edward at Seattle, Washington; nine grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Anna married Ole Backen 5 May 1892 in Dunn County, Wisconsin.
