RINGGOLD -- Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today for James Weaver Pate, 76, of Ringgold.
Mr. Pate was killed in an automobile accident Thursday night. Officials said Pate apparently lost control of his pickup truck.
Funeral services will be in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Searcy Smith officiating, assisted by the Rev. George Sherman. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home.
Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Averlee Moore of Ringgold and Mrs. C. Clements of Lisbon; three sisters, Mrs. Della Giddens and Mrs. Lucy Carter, both of Ringgold and Mrs. Edna Stevenson of Athens; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
