Age 81, 1949 Graduate of Lincoln High School, Home Mission President & Usher of Second Bethel Baptist Church, peacefully left us on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at the North Florida Regional Medical Center.
She was a loving Mother, very caring and a self-sacrificing person who was always willing to put others before herself.
The Homegoing Celebration will be held 2:00PM Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Second Bethel Baptist Church (Kirkwood Community - Micanopy, FL) where Rev. Jerome Able is Pastor/Officiant, with Moderator L. C. Hunt delivering the Eulogy. Burial will follow at the Kirkwood Cemetery. Mrs. Batie will be viewed at the Funeral Home Saturday 2:00-7:00PM (At which time, the Family will receive Friends 5:30-7:00PM) - At the Church on Sunday 30 Minutes prior to the Services - And with the Processional. The Procession will form at Mrs. Batie's residence, 907 SE 7th St, Gainesville, FL at 1:00PM.
Cherishing her memory are: Children - Fred J. Batie Jr. (& Constance), Maurice Batie (& Caroline), Donnie Batie (& Veris), Helen K. Batie, James G. Batie (& Velma), Saundra L. Batie; Sister - Elouise Croker (& her Devoted Daughter - Ferneise Nix); 12 Grandchildren; And a host of Great Grandchildren; Nieces & Nephews; Cousins; Sisters-In-Laws - & Friends.
