Sharon Sue Lovelady, nee McCloud, joined her Lord and Savior on Jully 12, 2007, at the home of her sister after a short illness. She was born on September 6th, 1946, to William F. and Darlene Crabtree McCloud in St. Louis. She grew up on the family farm in Troy and later moved to Nixa. She attended the Taylor one-room school house near Snow Hill, Claude Brown Elementary, Sacred Heart Catholic School and Buchanon High School in Troy. She was united in marriage on November 16, 1963, and gave birth to three precious joys in her life: her sons, Daniel Scott Hammett, Darren Joseph Hammett and Dean Jeffery Hammett. She was united in marriage on December 20th, 2004, to Harl Lovelady, of Ruby, Arkansas. She is survived by her husband, Harl Lovelady, of Ruby, Arkansas; her son, Daniel (Holly) Hammett; grandchildren Taylor, Evan and Andrew Hammett, all of Silex; her sister, Cheryl (Michael) Newberry; nephew Alexander; niece Ashley Newberry of Houston, Texas; sister Vicky (Randall) Hitchcock and nephew, Ryan Hitchcock, of Clever; niece Charlene Begeman and great-nephew Carter Begeman, of Washington and a multitude of friends and loved ones. Officiating at the graveside memorial service were the Rev. Warren (Kathy) Todd, her dearest friends. Burial wwas at the Jones-Chastain Cemetery in Highlandville. The services were held on July 17, 2007.
**Sharon was truly a beautiful soul who was a great step-mother to Kevin and Cindy Alfultis and a great friend that we knew would be there for us. She was the strongest person we've ever known and took care of her grandmother, mother, sister (Phyllis) and husband, Peter Baumgartner, until their deaths. She is truly missed.
