Died - February 3d, 1893, at her home in Fontana, with the grippe, Mrs. Cora Morrison, wife of James Morrison of that place. Cora, as she was familiarly known, was a daughter of Mrs. J. L. McCain of Stanton-twp. Besides her husband and two little boys, she leaves a mother, brothers and sisters, with numerous friends and schoolmates to mourn her death. Cora was a lady of true, womanly courage, in the ardouous work of rearing and caring for loved ones at home. She was charitable and good to all an she will be sadly missed for no family has ever bereft of a more noble, pure and devoted mother. The funeral took place Sunday, February 5th, at the Fontana Cemetery. - Miami Republican, February 24, 1893, page 3, column 1.
