Nell was the daughter of James Addison Ingle and Helen Jervey Ingle.
She attended the College of Charleston and was a homemaker. Nell was a member of The Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul, the Colonial Dames, Ladies Benevolent Society and Gibbes Art Gallery.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Canon John C. Ball, Jr., of Charleston; four daughters, Charlotte B. Vogelsang and husband Christopher of Buffalo, NY, Nell B. Brennan and husband Robbie of Columbia, Sarah B. Damewood and husband Greg of James Island and Caroline B. Hawkey and husband Blake of Lugoff, SC; ten grandchildren; one brother, J. Addison Ingle, Jr.
She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Ingle Bissell.
