Mrs. Collins was born in Brunswick County on January 28, 1944, daughter of the late Lucian Isaac Fulford and Margaret Mae Fulford. She was a 1962 graduate of Shallotte High School and was a member of Sabbath Home Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors, especially working in her yard and her garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Collins; a daughter, Jana Collins; a brother, Junior Fulford; and a sister, Helen Marie Cumbee.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Collins of Vale and Amanda Roberts of Bolivia; three sisters, Lawanda Faye Fulford Gibson of Supply, Mary Varnam of Supply and Edith Reeves of Georgia; three grandchildren, Matthew David Pegram, Christopher Pegram and Savannah Rose Stanley; a great-grandchild, Landon Cole Pegram.
Funeral services were held Thursday at Sabbath Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Perko and the Rev.Eddie Hill officiating. Burial followed in the Sabbath Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
