Archie married Opal Essie Fairley, sister of Oval Leona Fairley who married Archie's brother Thomas B. Chiddix.
Archie fell of a ladder at the age of 38, backward and knocked his hip out of joint and had two operations. Quit work at age 49. Had Huntington's Disease.
