John Burgess received a message from relatives in Altonah Sunday of the death of a cousin Kenneth Burgess. Mr. and Mrs. Burgess and little daughter Rubie and Mrs. E. R. Peterson left early on Tuesday morning to attend the funeral.

ALTONAH
A Gloom was cast over the entire community Sunday when Kenneth Burgess passed away. Mr. Burgess hs been ill for some time with pneumonia and it was thought he was on the improves. He was taken worse Saturday night and Dr. miles of Roosevelt was called but too late. Mr Burgess leaves a wife and three small children besides a host of relatives and friends to morn his loss. The people of Altonah join in sympathy for the bereaved ones.
Funeral Services for Kenneth Burgess were held Tuesday at 2 o'clock in the Ward Meeting house.

Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Sherman, Mrs. Rennia Jensen, Elmer Colby, Mrs. Rossella Riley, Tenna Case, Mres Feancis Jones and Albert Jones all motored to Altonah, Duchesne Coutny on Monday. They attended the funeral services of Kenneth Burgess, who died of influenza and pneumonia, on Tuesday they returned on Wednesday they reported many cases of influenza and pneumonia in Duchesne County.
Mr Foot from Gunnison pass throught town Monday on his way to Altonah to attend the funeral of Kenneth Burgess. Mr Foot was the special speaker at the funeral services.
