Funeral services for Cleo Newburn,81,of Bullard, formerly of Lufkin, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 23, at Thompson Funeral Home chapel in Jacksonville with the Revs. Richard Dahlgren and Edwin Lewis officiating.
Burial was in Bullard City Cemetery.
Mrs. Newburn died Saturday, August 21 in a Jacksonville nursing home.
She was born July 10,1912, in Lufkin and resided most of her life in Bullard.
Mrs. Newburn was a retired licensed vocational nurse and a member of County Line Baptist Church in Bullard.
Survivors include her husband, Guy Melvin "Blink" Newburn; Bullard; two sons, Oscar Newburn, Richardson, and Guy Newburn, Bullard; one sister, Addie Franklin, Odessa; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
