RUSHVILLE

Ralph E. Moore, 70, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield. He was a resident of Rushville.

He was born July 17, 1929, in Connersville. His parents were Lewis and Anna (Honaker) Moore. He married Emma Lou (Feeback) Moore on July 6, 1962. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Michael E. Moore of Connersville; a daughter, Patty V. Gabreal of Cambridge City; a stepson, Gary Cameron of Rushville; a brother, Richard Moore of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Louis Paul and Leah Smith, both of Greenwood, and Mary Biggs of Connersville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine, and a son, David.

He was employed for 15 years by Schnadig Corp., retiring in 1988. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rushville.

He served as a past commander, vice commander and sergeant of arms for American Legion Post 150 in Rushville. He also served as a past board member, president and vice president of the Rush County Cancer Society. He was a public relations officer for the 10th district. He was a member of VFW 1541 in Rushville and Am Vets 11 in Connersville.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

The Rev. Timothy Bonney will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Burial with military graveside services will be at Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Arlington.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rush County Cancer Society or First Baptist Church in Rushville.
