The Rev. Mr. Hensey was born and raised in Bedford, Ohio. His career included many years as a missionary in the Belgian Congo. He was twice commended by the King of Belgium for his work with Congolese tribes. He returned to America and was a professor of African studies. He was noted for translating the New Testament into four Congo dialects.
