Lola E. Parlett, 94, of Labette City, died at 6;00 p.m., Sat., May 26, 2007 at Elmhaven West Nursing Home. She was in failing health.
She was born on Oct. 20, 1912 at Pittsburg, a daughter of Charles and Lucy (Ford) Bradshaw. She was raised at Labette City and was a life-long resident there. During World War II. she was employed at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant.

On Oct. 30, 1929 she was united in marriage to Eldon Parlett at Oswego. He preceded her in death on Christmas Day, 1987.

She was a member of the Labette Baptist Church. She was a loving grandmother and enjoyed crocheting dolls.

Survivors include: One son - Leo Parlett, Murrieta, CA Seven grandchildren Seventeen great grandchildren Three great-great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews, including Shirley and Ed Ellis of Parsons. She was preceded in death by a son - Wayne Parlett; a grandson - Richard Parlett; eight brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wed., May 30, 2007 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Rev. Peggy Hillmon officiating. Burial will be in the Labette City Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Assoc., or to the Elmhaven West Nursing Home Activity Fund, and may be left or mailed to the funeral home, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
