A descendant of John of Peterborough, Northamptonshire, England.
In 1639 he had house lot laid out to him in Sudbury near the two ponds, i.e., at the West end of the town plot. Perhaps he did not build there. Settled in Scituate. Removed to Boston.
He and wife Joan admitted to church in Boston Oct. 4, 1645.

Lived at Muddy River (Brookline).
Freeman, 1646.
Died Sept. 28, 1656.
His w. was Joanna ----- and she married (2) Sept. 1, 1661, Edward Garfield of Watertown.
