Mrs. Emily K. Baer, age 86, formerly of Cambridge, died Tuesday, October 13, 1992, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. She had been a resident at the U.S. Soldier's and Airmen's Home for the past four years. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur E. Baer of Cambridge. She was active in the Beckwith United Methodist Church. She retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army, having seen service during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. She is survived by her brother, Edward R. Schweser of Charlotte Hall, Md.; her children, Dr. Charles A. Kennedy of Blacksburg; Edith L. Cole of Beaufort, N.C.; and Lt. Col. Arthur E. Baer, Jr. of Whiteman AFB, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, October 30, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity.
