Ione Davis Ballard, 81, of Salt Lake City died November 20, 1993.
Born November 24, 1911 in Salt Lake City to Alma Thomas and Larsine Larsen Davis. She married Duane Orson Ballard on August 20, 1932 in Farmington, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1946.She was an active member of the LDS Church, having served as Primary and Young Women's president and secretary in the Relief Society for many years. She participated in her ward choir.
She is survived by her husband Duane of Salt Lake City; children and their spouses: Ramona and Cal Dalton, Bountiful, Utah; Davis V. and Geri Ballard, and Marcia Darnell, all of West Valley City; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; a brother, Marcus Davis; and sister, Ruth D. Perry, both of Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by a brother, Evan Davis, and a granddaughter, Rebecca Ballard.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 24, 1993 at 1 p.m. at the Salt Lake 31st Ward, 1078 South McClelland Avenue (1040 East). Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
