Tyler, Texas, Aug 7 - Pinned under a dead horse which had fallen into a ditch as he rode home from church Sunday night, Dewey Bickerstaff, Cherokee County youth living near Bullard, fifteen miles south of Tyler, was found Monday morning and carried home where he died late Monday.
Young Bickerstaff had been to church and was on his way home when his horse fell into the ditch and was killed. The boy's legs and part of his body were pinned under the animal. His cries failed to summon aid until Monday morning, when he was found fatally injured.
