His parents were Charles and Josie Nordstrom Anderson, he was born in a log cabin on Brave Bow Creek and grew up in the Midland area. He married Blanch Marie Shirk on July 3, 1933 in Clark South Dakota and they homesteaded in the Brave Bow Creek area until he entered the Kadoka Care Center in 1969.
He is survived by his two sons George Anderson Jr of MIdland and Jean Anderson of Spearfish SD and one daugher Karen Grothen of MIssoula MT. Also two sisters Josephine Linquist of Sioux City IA adn Esther Darling of Rapid City SD. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1865, two brothers Elmer and Charles and two sisers Myrtle and Jeneva. Obit in Rapid City Journal
