Frederick Von Borries served as one of the Presidents of the Ballard & Ballard CO.

Von Borries grandfather , Julius , an immigrant originally from Munster Germany , was a highly prominent and wealthy figurehead within the city of Louisville. Julius Von Borries was appointed the Consul of his Majesty , The King Of Prussia on October the 8th the year of 1864 by President Abraham Lincoln. Julius Von Borries had also served as the President of the Louisville Third National Bank & was the founder and president of the Von Borries & Company Clothing Wholesale Store , also within Louisville. At one time , Julius Von Borries , was the leading merchant in the entirety of Louisville.

The family business was passed to his heirs and the presidency turned to his son , Wilhelm Von Borries , the father of Frederick. Frederick inherited most of the family fortunes.

Little is known pertaining to Frederick's life & upbringing. He had married twice during his life. His 1st wife was Grace Dugan. After her death , he eventually remarried and his 2nd marriage was to Verna Rose Scott. Frederick Von Borries died in the year of 1957 from complications from Heart Disease and following his death the Borries family relocated to Florida. His wife Verna Scott Rose lived to the age of 104 and passed away in the year of 2003 in Orlando.

Frederick Von Borries was the father of the College Football Hall Of Fame Star , Buzz Borries.
