Born Friday, June 15, 1928, in Mount Vernon, Ill., to Samuel & Ethel (Friend) Billups, she married John Berry on Aug. 1, 1948, in Mount Vernon, Ill.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Ill. In honor of her wishes, there will be no public visitation.
She is survived by her husband, John Berry of Morton, Ill.; her daughter, Lynda Hootman and husband, Gary, of Morton, Ill.; three grandchildren, Jim Hootman of Morton, Ill., John Strate Hootman and wife, Shelly, of Chicago, Ill., and Jennifer Hootman of Richfield, Minn.; her great-grandson, Henry Strate Hootman of Chicago, Ill.; her nephew, Kris Berry and wife, Kelly, of Louisville, Ky.,; and her niece, Kristen Shell and husband, Todd, of Crestwood, Ky.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Rosemary was a homemaker and a member of Grace Church in Morton, Ill.
