Barbara Ann Kaiser, daughter of Friend Ralph Curry and Ollie Bell (Otis) Curry was born August 8, 1926 on the family farm near Afton, Iowa. She passed from this life Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, Iowa at 82 years of age.
Barbara grew up in Osceola. She graduated from Osceola High School. She went on to receive a bachelors degree and worked as a medical technician for Methodist Hospital in Des Moines for over 30 years.
Barbara was united in marriage to David John Kaiser on December 19, 1974 at Chicago, IL. They lived most of their married life in Des Moines until 1994 when they moved to Osceola. They enjoyed square dancing and traveling. They had traveled to Russia, Egypt and the Holy Land and taken many trips with the United Methodist Church in Des Moines.
Barbara was a member of the Methodist Church in Des Moines, a member of the order of the Eastern Star affiliated with the Eastgate Masonic Lodge in Des Moines. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and crocheting.
Those relatives who preceded Barbara in death were her parents and five of David's sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory; husband, David John Kaiser of Osceola; daughters, Deborah Ann Reilly and husband Thomas of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Candace Lou Campbell of Charleston, SC; grandsons, Jared Michael Reilly and Brendan Patrick Reilly both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister-in-law, Lorna Wenchel of Wall Lake, IA; other relatives and friends.
