David Edward Wharton was born Feb. 10, 1950 in Timpson, Texas and died Feb. 16, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Tx.

David is preceded in death by his parents Cecil Wharton and Merrian Wharton of Timpson, TX. And brother J.C. Wharton.

David is survived by his wife Carla Wharton and son Blake Morrison of Sam Rayburn, TX. Sisters; Cecilia Erland of Moody, TX., and Merrie Norris of Longview, TX. And one brother Fred Wharton of Timpson, TX.

David graduated from high school in Timpson and went on to further his education at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas where he earned a degree in education. In 1974 David started his career as a professional bass fisherman and successfully earned his place in the fishing world. David was a loving husband, father and great friend to all. He will be greatly missed. WE LOVE YOU.

Memorial services will be held at Lake Rayburn United Methodist Church, Feb. 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.
