An 18-year-old college student from Shallowater died Thursday morning from injuries suffered during a two-vehicle car accident in Hockley County, Texas Department of Public Safety officials said.

Corrina Jennell Parslow was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

According to the accident report, Parslow was driving a Ford Tempo west on the FM 1294, about nine miles northeast of Levelland, when the car veered into the path of an eastbound tractor-trailer.

The two vehicles collided head-on about 7:20 a.m. Parslow was not wearing a safety belt, DPS said.
