She was the daugther of Marion Leander HUNT and Ruthie (Crump) HUNT. These HUNT and CRUMP had large families, many of whom lived and died in the area.
Edna attended local schools and was a member of the Oakman Free Will Baptist Church where her parents belonged. She later began to preach at about 20-21 years of age and was licensed in 1928 and then a year later, ordained, by the Center Association of Free Will Baptists. She participated in all District church meetings, often serving on boards and committies. She pastored McGee FWB Church and probably others in the area. She listed her home as McGee.
She married Garland BUCKELEW, May 21, 1932, Pontotoc Co. A child, Norma Ruth Buckelew, was born and died in 1943, a few monts of age, and is bur. in this cemetery.
Garland's name appeared in church records as a layman, and is not believed to have been a minister.
She was esteemed by those who knew her, evidenced by her standing with the churches.
