The Cairo Messenger, January 1968, Funeral Services For Cpl. Samuel Bulloch Held December 25
Funeral service were held December 25, for Corporal Samuel Uiel Bulloch, Jr. 20, who died in Vietnam December 10. Services were held in the Macedonia Church with Rev. Eugene Miller officiating assisted by Rev. Howard Kelley.
Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery with Braswell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers were Sammy Scully, Franklin Glen Bulloch, Jimmy Bulloch, Mike Lee, Wayne NeSmith, Warner NeSmith, Glenn Morrell, and Tommy Bulloch. Honorary pallbearers were Roger Godwin, Cecil Flowers, Gregg Gilliard, K. D. Palmer, Max Matthews, Larry Palmer, Eddie Matthews, and Wayne Spence.
Cpl. Bulloch was born in Thomasville, Ga., March 29, 1947, the son of Sam U. and Christine Adams Bulloch, Sr. He graduated from Cairo High School in 1965 and entered the Army in September 1966. He had been in Vietnam for four months.
Survivors include his parents; one sister, Miss Janice Bulloch of Atlanta maternal grandmother, Mrs. J. Eli Adams, Thomasville; paternal grandmother, Mrs. W. G. Bulloch of Meigs.
