Ms. Johnnie Brown of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009, in Fort Smith. Ms. Brown was 103 years, 3 months, and 13 days old. She was a retired food service manager; a member of the 1st United Methodist Church; and a Charter member of the Uplifters Class.
Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband: Thomas W. Brown Sr.
She is survived by a son: T.W. Brown, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; a brother: Hugh Burris, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two grandchildren: Marcy Bujarski, of Little Rock, and Thomas Brown III, of Brooklyn, New York; three great-grandchildren: Greg Bujarski, Kerry Bleil and Christie Daly; and two great-great-grandchildren: Sarah and Anna Bleil.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, February 21, 2009, at the Oak Cemetery Pavilion. The Rev. William Cheyne and the Rev. Hershel McClurkin, officiated the services.
