On Christmas morning, 1890, James Gamble wrote:
To you and all my friends:
This is my 80th Christmas. Most likely my last. I am patiently waiting God's time. I feel his presence, oh!
Let us one and all fight the good fight of faith and works [illegible] upon Eternal life,
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father and the Fellowship and [illegible] of the Holy Spirit rest and remain with you all forevermore. Amen
