Mrs. Alice Cagle Elrod dies in Atlanta Monday at the age 84 Mrs. Alice Cagle Elrod, 84, of Rt.4, Chatsworth, died Monday morning at Grady Hospital in Atlanta. She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. E. l. Willingham of Atlanta, Mrs. Ivous Dixon of Cummings, Mrs. George Sissom, Mrs. Jack Roberts, and Mrs. Vance Howell, all of Chatsworth, and Mrs. E.H. Hodge of Atlanta; two sons, Henry and Gordon Elrod of Chatsworth; 49 grand-children, 90 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild; six brothers, Jim & George Cagle of Chatsworth, Boyd Cagle of Resaca, Jack & Grady Cagle of Dalton and John Cagle of Rome; three sisters, Mrs. Exie Timms of Chatsworth, Mrs. Millie Dixon of Dalton, and Mrs. Ora Lee Dixon of Milledgeville.
The funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Martin Casey and Rev. Floyd Childers officiating. Burial was in the Prospect Cemetery with Kenemer Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Grandsons served as pallbearers
