H. Ross Brewer, age 78, of Laurie, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2004 near Laurie. He was born May 7, 1925 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Thomas and Jesse Brewer. He was united in marriage on June 1, 1950 to Barbara Frizell who preceded him in death on March 3, 2001. Ross was a U.S. Marine Veteran of WWII, member of the American Legion Zack Wheat Post # 624 of Sunrise Beach, and member of the Emerson Park Christian Church in Kansas City, Kansas. He is survived by two sons, Michael R. Brewer of Overland Park, Kansas and Jeffery S. Brewer of Kearney, Missouri; one daughter Linda Coe of Shawnee, Kansas; one brother Willis Brewer of Kansas City, Missouri; 8 grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 20, 2004 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Laurie with John Wagner officiating. Inurnment will be in the Garber Memorial Estates Columbarium at a later date. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Laurie.
