Clare Delos Kellogg is the second son of Guy Cary Kellogg and Sarah Cordelia Andre Kellogg born in Hendley Ne

Clare attended rural grade school in District 56 and ninth grade at Hendley Nebraska.
He moved to Ohio with his fathers family in 1912.
The new home was located in Richmond Twp, Ashtabula Co, Ohio. The farm was located on the south side of Kelloggsville Road.

Clare went to Pierpont school and attended Ohio State University College of Agriculture at Columbus Ohio for a period of 3 years

On June 4, 1917 enlisted in US Navy Reserve force and was called to duty on June 12, 1917

Seaman Clare Deloss Kellogg was on the U.S.S. Iowa from 22 June 1917 to 11 Nov 1918. He was released from the active Navy 24 Dec 1918 and given an honorable discharge 30 Sept 1921 at the expiration of his reserve status.

After discharge Clare worked for a period of time in shipyards at Norfolk, Virginia.

Clare Kellogg age 23 found in 1920 Lyndon Furnas Neb census living with his grandmother Catharine Andre age 72.

Moved to Danbury,NE.Through;o;ut his adult life he was active in agriculture and animal husbandry, He sponsored 4-H clubs. HE was an early member of the American Legion Post 276, holding a 35 yr. pin.

He married Marie Smith the daughter of Ira S and Elly Mae Smith on Oct 13, 1923. They had two sons and lived on a farm in Dunbury NE where he died.

She died June 29, 1992 in Beever City, NE.
