Son of Andrew Washington and Sarah Elizabeth Bailey Hart. He married Beulah Marvin Tisdale on October 16, 1900 in Red River County, Texas. He was a farmer for most of his life, first in Box Elder, Texas, on to Broken Bow, Oklahoma, next in Bowie County, Texas, and then Dodson, Texas, until the depression when he lost his farm. Then he share cropped in Maple, Texas and saved enough to buy another farm in Muleshoe. But he never really recovered from losses suffered during the depression. He semi-retired by working a little while for the Phillips school system before fully retiring in Borger, TX.
Their children are Charlie E, Lela M, Ruby A, Willie Dale, Alma Rae, Azalea S, Ulner L, Flora A, and Leon.
