Mrs. Hattie Applewhite, 75, of Chicago, Ill., died Sunday, Apr. 11, 1999 at Bethany Hospital in Chicago. Ill. of complications from congestive heart failure.

Formerly of Winona, she was a homemaker and a member of Winona Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was the widow of O.B. Applewhite.

Funeral services were held at 1 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 17 at Ed Roberts Chapel of Remembrance. Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery near Kilmichael.

She is survived by three sons, Dennis Applewhite, C.D. Goldman and Jim Goldman, all of Chicago, Ill.; six daughters, Essie Beckon, Seeless Turner, Rosanna Mays, Mary Alexander, Sallie Flowers, all of Chicago, Ill. and Fannie Peeples of Kilmichael; three brothers. Archie Eiland, Walter Eiland, both of Kilmichael and Steve Eiland of Texas: and a sister, Mae Ruth Eiland of Kilmichael.

Roberts & Sons Mortuary of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
