Addie Winona French, age 86, died on Friday, January 12, 1996.
The oldest daughter of Vern and Ella Eskridge Cox, she was born on November 17, 1909 near Jamesport, Missouri.
She attended country school at Pilot Grove Number 25 ant attended Chillicothe Business College working as a dental assistant in both Mill City and Trenton, Missouri. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She married CHARLES M. FRENCH of Trenton, Missouri on December 31, 1946. They moved to Mill City in 1947, the couple lived in Mill City until Charles's death in 1978, when Addie moved to Missouri to be near her family. The last few years of her life were spent at the Davies County Care Center, in Jamestown, Missouri.
She loved working with soil and her garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Mattie and on niece, Sonya.
Survivors include sister, Verna McNeely of Jamesport; a brother-in-law, Thomas McNeely; two nephews, Ron and Gary McNeely; two nieces, Maylene Johnston and Lynda Hancock and a number of great-nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Hope Funeral Home on Sunday, January 28, 1996. Interment followed at Scotland Cemetery in Jamason, Missouri.
