Grant Copple 70 of 504 South Moore Street died at his home at 4 p.m. Sunday. He was the son of William and Eva Copple and was born July 10, 1866 at Eddyville, Iowa but had lived in Ottumwa practically all his life. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Ann Copple; one daughter Mrs. Roy Collett of Blakesburg, two sons; W.F. Sheridan of Sheridan, Wyoming and James E. Copple of Ottumwa; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren, two stepsons James Bean and Frank Bean of Ottumwa; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Bradsha, Mrs. John Kennedy of Gwen, Iowa, and Mrs. Ralph Gott of Centerville; and one brother W.F. Copple of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by his first wife Clara and a daughter Mrs. Clay Jones. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:20 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Shaul Cemetery.
