Mrs. Lillian Jane Burr Morgan
Mrs. Lillian Jane Burr Morgan, youngest child of a family of eleven children was born to Daniel and Mary Burr, March 11, 1885, and passed away from this world September 10, 1936, at the age of fifty-one years and six months. She was united in marriage to Alfred A. Morgan, June 18, 1901. To this union were born ten children, Mrs. Max Albin of West Branch, James Morgan of Rochester, Mrs. Warren Christian of Atalissa, Ruth, Sylvia, Orpha and Margaret and a little granddaughter, Inez, all at home. Three of the children preceded their mother in death. Mrs. Morgan is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Henry Gustan of Guthrie Center, Mrs. Abe Osborn of Rochester and Mrs. Art LaRue of Nichols, and by eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held at the Rochester church on Saturday afternoon, September 12, with Rev. A. W. Straub and Rev. Otis Moore in charge. The pall-bearers were six nephews, John LaRue, Arthur LaRue, Guy Osborn, William Osborn, Dan Burns and Sherman Burns. Mrs. Alvin Christensen and Mrs. Wm. Sinkler, with Miss Bonita Crees as the accompanist, furnished beautiful music for the service. Interment was in Rochester cemetery.
A precious one from us has gone
A voice we loved is still
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
