Funeral services will be held in the Stratford Evans Merced Chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Lurana Alford, 78, who died in Mercy Hospital Sunday.
Mrs. Alford was born in the Cherokee Strip of Oklahoma and had resided here 30 years.
She leaves a son, William E. Alford of Merced; four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Torrey of Gooding, Idaho; Mrs. Leona Ponder of North Fork, Mrs. Inez Wiget, and Mrs. Mildred Mitchel of Merced; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Rouse and Mrs. Elnora Williams of Merced; a brother, John Freeman of New Mexico; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She lived at 644 N. Easy St., Merced.
Rev. William Albright of Bethel Temple Church will officiate and burial will be in the Merced District Cemetery.
