A native of Alabama, he was born on April 9, 1926. He was a burner at the shipyard. A member of the Holiness faith, he died on January 24, 2004.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray McRae.
He is survived by his wife, Alice McRae of Lucedale; four daughters, Charlene (Newton) Railey of Arizona, Elaine McRae of Pascagoula, Maureen Mirabella and Marcie (Wesley) Rogers, both of Lucedale, and two sons, Roy McRae and Raymond (Felcia) McRae, both of Lucedale.
Interment will be held in the New Antioch Full Gospel Church Cemetery with Rev. J. B. Davis, Bro. Charles Anderson and Happy Jack Gidon officiating the services.
Pallbearers will be Fredrick Livingston, Brandon Mizelle, Vince Anderson, Michael Lynn Holloman, Phillip McRae, and Royce Rheam
